Where's Bears Day at Oakwell Hall

and the Make a Bear Competition

 

Bears are hiding everywhere this Summer and Autumn in Kirklees!

 

On Sunday 23rd August we went to Oakwell Hall in Birstall where we had heard there were bears hiding. We asked you to rummage in the cupboards, look under the stairs and to make a bear for the day which when they got together on the day, made a trail through the woods for you to follow and find. The winning bears feature in the Where’s Bears calendar.

 

Sorrell Muggridge's family friendly, imaginative walk Through the Grass and Beyond the Trees launched on the day which, with their cryptic clues created captivating and fun walks for all.

 

Finally, we had a lovely teddy bears picnic with blankets for families to sit on, live music, fruity drinks, balloons and lots of lovely honey.
